Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women, and the second leading cause of cancer death in women. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and during this month we celebrate survivors, raise awareness about the importance of early detection and screening, and support those currently battling breast cancer.
One way to show your support during October (and year-round) is to wear pink. Pink is the color most associated with breast cancer awareness, and you can find pink ribbons and other merchandise to help show your support. There are all sorts of different items you can get, from t-shirts to pins to hats. Wearing this type of gear is a great way to start a conversation about breast cancer awareness and hopefully get more people involved in supporting the cause!
